How do I import trade data from Microsoft Excel?

You can import your data by using the GainsKeeper custom Excel import template. You can import up to 500 transactions at a time with the template. The template and instructions can be downloaded from GainsTracker>Record Trades>Import using Excel Template. You can copy and paste from an existing spreadsheet into the template, provided that you first format the spreadsheet to match the template. If you trade options, you will need to download the template that specifies that it works with options, and each option record will need to have option entered as the trade type. You can return to GainsTracker>Record Trades>Import using Excel Template to attach your template when you are ready to import.
You need to have Excel97 or later on your PC to be able to use this import method.
