What is the purpose of the yellow lightning
bolt?

The yellow lightning bolt will display next to your brokerage account at GainsTracker>Overview when you successfully connect to your broker for an OFX server import. The OFX server is where your broker stores historical trade data that you can then import into tax products. Imports do not occur directly from your trading account.
The yellow lightning bolt is a shortcut for performing subsequent imports. To perform your next import, click the lightning bolt.
